At MDI we are committed to operating our design-build workshop in a manner that minimizes our environmental impact and promotes sustainability at every stage of our operations. We recognize the importance of responsible resource management and strive to integrate sustainable practices into all aspects of our business.
Material Selection and Sourcing
We prioritize the use of recycled and responsibly sourced materials in our fabrication and production processes. By selecting materials with lower environmental footprints and supporting local suppliers with sustainable practices. We aim to reduce our reliance on virgin resources and minimize waste generation.
Every product we build, we hope, will never end up in a landfill. We source materials and handcraft every project to last generations.
Waste Reduction and Recycling
We are committed to minimizing waste generation and maximizing recycling efforts within our workshop. By implementing waste reduction strategies, such as material optimization and reuse initiatives, we strive to minimize the amount of waste sent to landfills. We also actively participate in recycling programs to ensure that materials such as metal scraps and packaging are diverted from disposal and repurposed whenever possible.
Fun fact, all metal can be recycled and a lot of the metal we purchase is a recycled product!
Continuous Improvement
Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we are committed to continuously improving our practices and performance. Through regular monitoring, and evaluation, we identify opportunities for innovation and strive to implement meaningful sustainability initiatives that drive positive environmental and social impact.
For us, sustainability is not just a goal; it is a fundamental value that guides our decisions and actions. By integrating sustainability into every aspect of our custom fabrication and furniture workshop, we are dedicated to creating positive environmental impacts today and for future generations.
